Do you find yourself rolling from one challenge to the next? Do you feel like nothing ever works for you? Are you fed up with having something to wrong every time you turn a corner?

Welcome to life my friend! Life is a continuous cycle of challenges and problems to solve. And successful people are not immune to this. In fact, the more successful you become, the bigger and more frequent the challenges become. The difference is successful people are great at finding solutions and don’t get stuck in the problem.

And fortunately, as you become more successful, the quality of the problems improves. Instead of worrying about how you are going to feed your family, your questioning how you can make a bigger profit. Or how you can turn what seems like adverse business conditions to your advantage.

I apologize if you are offended by mild profanity, but the truth is, ‘Shit Happens’. It always has and it always will. There are only two variables:

  1. How deep the shit is.
  2. How adept and creative you are at finding a solution to the shit.

The Universe will never throw anything at you that you can’t handle. And honestly, sometimes life really sucks. The question is what are you going to do about it? If you are intent on staying focused on the problem complaining that nothing ever works for you and blaming the situation or person for your predicament, then your life will be an endless cycle of struggle, frustration and pain.

On the other hand, if you are determined to become creative and resourceful and be solution focused, you will find life a very rewarding, exhilarating experience, and you will travel from one success to the next with a sense of eagerness and excitement. As you get better at solving problems, you may even start to enjoy them and how they bring out the best in you. You learn far more from your challenges than you do from the times in your life that are easy. Although, we all benefit from those too. Everybody needs a break right!

On the one hand we have been programmed to believe that life wasn’t meant to be easy, and on the other we have this unrealistic expectation that at some point all the challenges will stop coming and life will be just smooth sailing.

The reality is shit will continue to happen. That’s a fact. And you can choose to see life as an endless struggle and stay stuck, frustrated and overwhelmed, or you can see it as your construction site where things don’t always go the way you want them to and you need to adjust your plans accordingly and find solutions so you can build the life you truly desire.

A problem is only a problem when you can’t find a solution. And there is a solution for every problem. When you take this approach, the truth is, you can’t have any problems, you just need to get good at finding solutions. There is nothing more empowering than trusting in your ability to be able to solve any challenge that comes your way. When you take this mental approach, your challenges become opportunities.

I have created an EFT tapping sequence to help you release the frustration and overwhelm associated with seeing life as one big challenge and accept that ‘shit happens’, so you can move forward confidently and become a good problem solver.

Firstly, rate this statement on a scale of 0 (meaning it’s not true for you) and 10 (meaning it’s really intense for you).

“I’m so tired of having all this shit happen in my life”

Karate Chop:

Even though I am tired of moving from one problem to the next and my life really sucks, I choose to love and accept who I am and how I feel.

Even though nothing seems to work for me and I’m frustrated by the amount of problems I have in my life, I deeply and completely accept myself anyway.

Even though my shit just keeps happening to me and I feel overwhelmed and frustrated, I profoundly love and accept all of me.

Eyebrow: I’m so tired of all this shit happening in my life

Outside Eye: Why can’t life be easy for a change?

Under Eye: I feel so overwhelmed by all the problems I have

Under Nose: Nothing ever seems to work for me

Chin: I feel so frustrated and fed up that I keep sabotaging myself

Collar Bone: It’s not fair that I have to fight my way through all these problems

Under Arm: Life isn’t supposed to be this hard

Top of Head: Why does this shit keep happening to me?

Eyebrow: I’m so fed up with nothing working for me.

Outside Eye: I’m so tired of living in Ground Hog day

Under Eye: Every time I turn around there’s another problem

Under Nose: I wish life was easier and I didn’t have all these problems

Chin: I did not expect life to turn out this way for me

Collar Bone: I don’t know why I even bother trying

Under Arm: I feel so overwhelmed and frustrated

Top of Head: I’m so tired of never achieving my goals

Eyebrow: Nothing ever works for me

Outside Eye: Everything I try turns to shit

Under Eye: I feel buried in problems

Under Nose: I’m so tired, overwhelmed and frustrated

Chin: I just can’t seem to get a break

Collar Bone: It’s not fair, my life really sucks

Under Arm: I wish I could just get a break and everything was easy

Top of Head: I’m so tired of having so much shit happen in my life

Take a deep breath. Now go back and rate that statement: “I’m tired of having all this shit happen in my life”. Keep tapping on these phrases, or ones that are more appropriate for you, until you have brought the rating down to a two or below and then continue on to the positive tapping round.

Karate Chop:

Even though I still feel frustrated and overwhelmed by all the shit happening in my life, I choose to focus more on solutions than on the problems.

Even though I’m tired of my life being an endless series of problems, I choose to focus on finding solutions to the various problems that arise.

Even though I still want my life to be easier without all these problems, I choose to accept that sometimes shit happens and to find positive solutions when it does.

Eyebrow:  I still feel overwhelmed and frustrated

Outside Eye: It’s really depressing to think life is made up of problems

Under Eye: I can’t just accept that this is the way life is

Under Nose: It’s no fun at all having all these problems

Chin: What if it’s not as bad as I think

Collar Bone: If I could find a solution, I wouldn’t have a problem

Under Arm: I choose to accept that shit happens sometimes

Top of Head: What if all these problems are blessings in disguise

Eyebrow: How can all this shit be a blessing?

Outside Eye: It sure doesn’t feel like it right now

Under Eye: But I’m sure there’s a blessing in this somewhere

Under Nose: It would be very satisfying to find solutions to these problems

Chin: I know that the Universe doesn’t send me anything I can’t handle

Collar Bone: Which means I am capable of finding solutions to these challenges

Under Arm: I choose to be open to finding solutions

Top of Head: It’s a fact of life that shit happens

Eyebrow: So I choose to accept that and be great at solving my problems

Outside Eye: Even though I don’t know how right now

Under Eye: I choose to be open to finding solutions to all my problems

Under Nose: I choose to let go of my overwhelm and frustration

Chin: I know there are people who have solved similar problems before

Collar Bone: I’m ready to get out of being stuck in my problems

Under Arm: I love the satisfaction that I feel when I solve a problem

Top of Head: And I love the satisfaction of knowing I can solve any problem, even these ones.

Take a deep breath. Now go back and rate that statement: “I’m tired of having all this shit happen in my life”.

Keep tapping until you feel confident that you are able to find solutions to any problems that come to you. And in the future, when shit happens, just start tapping so you can stop being overwhelmed by the problem and get on with finding a solution.

10 Tips for Making 2012 Great

Most people have given up on, or conveniently forgotten their NY resolutions by the 15th of January each year. How are you going with yours? If you have given up in resignation, or if you didn’t make any resolutions because you have not stuck to them before, it’s never too late to re-affirm your commitment and start again.

Here are some tips to keep you inspired to achieve your goals this year:

  1. Identify what area of your life you really want to improve and get really clear about how you want it look. Be very specific about where you are now and where you want to be.
  2. Focus on just one or two major goals for the year. It’s better to achieve one or two things that will really make a difference to your life than make lots of goals and never reach any of them.
  3. Make your goals achievable – It’s great to challenge yourself, but if you bite off more than you can chew, then your probably never going to get started, or will give up quickly, because the reality of it is so overwhelming.
  4. Form them in a way that is inspiring for you. e.g. If you want to lose weight, don’t just state “I want to lose 5kg”. This is not very inspiring. Find a favorite outfit / piece of clothing, in your wardrobe that you haven’t been able to fit into and make it your goal to fit into it by a particular date. Or have a particular event in mind and make your goal to wow your friends at the event in a new outfit. Or wearing your swim suit during summer with confidence. I think you get the idea.
  5. Chunk your goals down into shorter term goals. e.g. 12 months, 6 months, 3 months, 1 month, 1 week, 1 day.
  6. Write all your goals down and keep them in a place where you can see them and remind yourself of what you are committed to achieving this year. This is even better if done as a vision board.
  7. Identify what new habits you need to adopt to get you there and keep you there.
  8. Uncover and let go of whatever belief systems have been blocking you from achieving this in the past. You will have to if you want real change.
  9. Review your goals regularly and adjust them as you need to.
  10. Get a coach or somebody whom you are accountable to and report to them on a pre-arranged regular basis and make sure they are not going to allow you to make excuses and let you off the hook. Accountability is key to your success at achieving anything.

You Must Break The Rules If You Want To Succeed

From the time we are introduced to this world, we are taught to conform. We are rewarded by the people who are the most influential in our lives if we adopt their way of thinking, the patterns of behaviour they exhibit, their judgements, values, ideals, etc.

We are over regulated with rules within rules within rules that are designed to control our behaviour and make us into good little conformists, so people, authorities and governments know what to expect from us and they don’t receive any nasty little surprises by having us actually challenge their way of thinking, feeling or being in the world.

We are conditioned to fear thinking and behaving differently because there are “consequences”. Most of us don’t even understand consciously what these apparent consequences might be, it’s just inherited thinking that they are there, threatening any innate desire we might have to explore new realms and possibilities and ways of being in the world.

Sadly, most of us aren’t taught to think for ourselves, but adopt the thinking of others who have survived with their way of thinking and believe that it is in your best interests to think and act the way they do. We develop physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually through modelling.

And we also adopt their dysfunction and limitations as well. Largely we become carbon copies of the people in our environment. Instead of being encouraged to think for ourselves and discern what works for us and become individuals free to express our own unique brilliance in the world, we are largely punished for ‘breaking the mold’ and becoming our own person.

It is possible to break free of this conditioning. It was said by a close relative that Steve Jobs “Didn’t think the rules applied to him”. And he expressed himself in a way that redefined the way we live today by not allowing everybody else’s definition of possible and impossible to influence his thinking. It also meant he could be anti-social and fly in the face of authority against regulations that are put there actually to protect us, not just to control us. It’s smart to play by the rules that serve us, and be ready to break down and reject those that don’t.

All the leaders, inventors and super successful people in the world have, in one way or another, found a way to break out of conformity and break the rules that don’t serve their purpose.

Leading edge innovative organizations like Apple, Google, Facebook, IBM, Microsoft, Virgin, Nintendo and many other technology based companies have transformed many aspects of our lives and actually altered our behavior through their audaciousness and refusing to be captured within the web of the structured systems we hold onto so vigorously.

Obviously, it is in our best interests to be respectful of those around us and behave in a way that does not threaten the well being of any living creature. But there are many rules, many of them unwritten, and secretly passed down to you through generations of compliant people who don’t dare to challenge the system, that are begging to be broken, and must be broken, if you are to succeed.

Below is an EFT tapping sequence that will help you to break free of limitations adopted during your earliest years through conditioning and not be frightened to break the rules that are holding you back from being the best you can be and living to your full potential.

First rate the following statement on a scale of 0 to 10. ) being that it’s not true for you at all and 10 being the most true it could possibly be for you: “I’m afraid to break the rules in case I have to suffer the consequences”.

Now go through the following tapping sequence:

Set Up:

Karate Chop Point:

Even though I’m afraid to break the rules because there might be consequences, I deeply and completely accept the way I feel.

Even though I have this fear about breaking the rules in case it gets ugly, I profoundly love and accept all of me.

Even though I’m afraid to be unique and different and break the rules because I know there will be consequences, I deeply and completely love and accept myself anyway.

Eyebrow: I was taught to follow the rules

Outside Eye: And I’ve been a good rule follower

Under Eye: I’ve done what I was told

Under Nose: And it’s worked for me so far

Chin: People know what to expect

Collar Bone: And I know what to expect

Top of Head: I’m actually afraid to break the rules

Eyebrow: It’s better for everybody if I conform, including me

Outside Eye: I feel safe when I follow the rules

Under Eye: They taught me not to express my individuality

Under Nose: And to follow the rules

Chin: Everybody’s happy when I follow the rules

Collar Bone: My families rules

Under Arm: Societies rules

Top of Head: The Governments rules

Eyebrow: There are so many rules

Outside Eye: I’m tired of following the rules

Under Eye: But what about the consequences if I don’t

Under Nose: Bad things will happen if I don’t follow the rules

Chin: And I’ll get into trouble

Collar Bone: That’s why I’m afraid to break the rules

Under Arm: I don’t like getting into trouble

Top of Head: Even though I’m really limited by all these rules

Eyebrow: I choose to follow them anyway

Outside Eye: Because I’m afraid to break them

Under Eye: It’s not safe to break the rules

Under Nose: Or challenge the system

Chin: Because there are consequences

Collar Bone: And I’m not prepared to suffer the consequences

Under Arm: It’s just easier and safer if I stick to what I know

Top of Head: I’m afraid to break the rules in case I have to suffer the consequences.

And take a deep breath and rate that statement: “I’m afraid to break the rules in case I have to suffer the consequences”. I it has come down to a 2 or below then move onto the positive tapping round. Otherwise, keep tapping with these phrases or ones that you feel are more appropriate for you and your situation, until it’s come down to a 2 or below before progressing.

Even though I still have this fear about breaking the rules, I’m ready to challenge all my old programming and express my own unique brilliance to the world.

Even though there might be consequences if I don’t conform the way I was taught, I choose to break free of these limiting rules and be uniquely me in every way, free to discover my full infinite potential.

Even though I don’t feel safe challenging the system and all the rules I was taught to follow, I’m ready to break the rules anyway and surprising everyone by achieving way beyond all of their expectations and mine.

Eyebrow: I’m ready to break free of the rules that no longer serve me

Outside Eye: I’m tired of being a conformist

Under Eye: I’m prepared to suffer the consequences of breaking the rules

Under Nose: So I can be free to be me

Chin: I love the thought of being free to be all of me

Collar Bone: Even if it means I’m going to shock some people

Under Arm: Even if some of my family and friends don’t won’t me to

Top of Head: I’m tired of being limited by all these rules

Eyebrow: And I refuse to allow myself to be limited by them anymore

Outside Eye: It feels so liberating and exciting

Under Eye: When I think about breaking out and being uniquely me

Under Nose: And doing things that are unexpected

Chin: And living to my full potential

Under Arm: I have allowed myself to be bound by these rules for long enough

Top of Head: And it’s worth upsetting people to realize my goals and dreams

Eyebrow: If people don’t like it, then that’s their problem

Under Eye:  I feel so liberated and excited about the possibilities

Under Nose: Now I know I don’t have to follow all of their rules

Chin: I refuse to allow their rules to prevent me

Top of Head: And go way beyond everybodies expectations

Eyebrow: And way beyond my expectations

Outside Eye: I’ll probably cop some flack from people who want me to stay where I am

Chin: And show everybody what I’m really capable of

Collar Bone: By being the best I can possibly be in every part of my life

And take a deep breath and rate that statement: “I’m afraid to break the rules in case I have to suffer the consequences”.

Keep tapping until the rating has come down to a zero.

And if you do fly in the face of convention, you are going to experience resistance from all over the place from people who truly believe they have your best interests at heart by bringing you back to where they are. The question is do you really want to be where they are? Has it been working for you so far? What do you really want out of life?

Would you prefer to live as an under achiever like the people you have modelled, or would you prefer to be a Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, breaking convention and living to their full potential and making the world a better place?

Stop Allowing ‘Your Story’ To Determine Your Level of Success

Byron Katie is a fabulous enlightened soul, teacher, transformation specialist and just a beautiful soul who guides people out of their suffering by helping them to let go of their story.

According to Katie, as she is affectionately called, all suffering is created by our thoughts. There is nothing outside of us that can ‘make’ us feel anything. We choose how we feel according to what we think about a person situation, or set of circumstances in our lives. And that person or situation is actually presented to us to highlight to us the thoughts we are thinking that is creating our suffering so we can let go of them and move into a heightened state of enlightenment.

According to what you have been taught and told by others in your life, you have made critical judgements about yourself and your environment that have shaped who you are today. You have been programmed to think, feel and react to your environment in a particular way and you do this totally on autopilot. It’s like you have no free will what-so-ever. That is, until you see how beautifully designed the whole game is and you can choose to let go of your story about yourself and your environment.

Our judgements and expectations of life, of ourselves and of others is what creates our discomfort. Once we let go of these judgements and expectations we are free to experience everything for what it is, just an event, or a person, or a thing. Nothing is sent to make us miserable. Everything is attracted to us to help us to grow and reconnect with the omnipotent source, whatever you believe that to be: God / The Universe / Higher Consciousness / The Divine / Source / etc.

We behave the way we are conditioned to behave through years of programming from all the people and influences in our environment. And you can modify your behaviour through recognising whatever is holding you back and reprogramming your subconscious.

Who decides who you are and what life you live? You do! And if you don’t like what you are seeing, or experiencing, then you, and you alone, have the power to change it. And it’s not necessarily about changing the external circumstances, but your response to them.

Certainly sometimes it takes removing ourselves from a particular set of circumstances to set things right, but once we let go of our attachment to our feelings about those circumstances, we are more empowered to change them instead of reacting poorly to the situation and often making it even worse.

For example, if you have defined yourself as unsuccessful, a failure, not good enough, not smart enough, not pretty enough, not deserving, etc, then you will continue to live these definitions out in your everyday life. And these are just untruths that you are allowing to determine your results. Once you decide to be let go of those definitions you are free to be, do and have anything you want, and redefine yourself as many times as you like.

The truth is there is nothing that defines you or limits you, except you and whatever conditioning you are holding onto. You are a limitless being with infinite power and potential. And it’s time you started to discover the truth of who you truly are.

So here is a tapping sequence that will help you to let go of your identity as ‘unsuccessful’. You can use this same methodology with any definition you have about yourself regarding health, wealth, career, relationships, or anything else you are not happy with in your life. This will give you an idea of how to go about it.

Start by rating this statement on a scale of 0 to 10. 0 being that it’s not true for you at all and 10 being the most true it could possibly be for you:

“I am never going to be successful because that’s not who I am.”

And now use the following EFT Tapping Sequence. I have picked a bunch of phrases to work with, but you can add any that pertain to you because there are hundreds of other possibilities of things you think about yourself that will hold you back from being successful. Find them and release them, because you deserve to be free from this perpetual cycle of sabotage that plagues almost every person I have ever met and worked with.

Setup Up Phrase

Karate Chop:

Even though I’ve decided that I’m not successful so I don’t act like a successful person I choose to forgive myself anyway

Even though I have defined myself according to all my old conditioning that I’m not successful & never will be, I choose to love and accept myself anyway

Even though I don’t behave like a successful person, because I’ve defined myself according to all my past results and conditioning, I deeply and completely love and accept all of me.

Eyebrow: All my life I’ve been letting myself down

Outside Eye: By being attached to all my old results

Under Eye: And being attached to my story

Under Nose: All my reasons not to be successful

Chin: Who am I to be successful & have all my dreams come true

Collar Bone: I don’t have what it takes to be successful

Under Arm: I’m not disciplined enough

Top of Head: I’m don’t have the knowledge or education

Eyebrow: I’m not smart enough

Outside Eye: I’m too lazy

Under Eye: I not strong enough

Under Nose: I can’t take the heat

Chin: I have dozens of reasons why I can’t be successful

Collar Bone: I’m just not destined to be successful

Top of the Head: I’ve proven it over and over again

Eyebrow: It’s written in the stars

Outside Eye: I’m really attached to this definition of myself

Under Eye: I have failed so many times that I’m convinced I’m a failure

Under Nose: Success isn’t everything

Chin: Success is over rated anyway

Collar Bone: It’s so much easier, less painful and less stressful to be mediocre

Under arm: Every time I try to succeed I just get disappointed

Top of Head: I’m positive I’ll never be successful because that’s not who I am

Now go back and rate that statement: “I am never going to be successful because that’s not who I am” on a scale of 0 to 10. Keep repeating this line of tapping either with these phrases or others that work better for you, until you have the rating down to at least a 2, then move onto the positive tapping round below.

Set Up Phrase

Karate Chop Point:

Even though I’m still convinced I’m never going to be a successful person, I’m willing to be open to new possibilities about my potential.

Even though I have proven over and over that I’m not destined to be successful, I’m ready to step into my true power and leave behind all the old conditioning that doesn’t serve me.

Even though I have never succeeded at achieving what I really want in the past, I choose to entertain the possibility that it’s because of old programming and to release whatever is holding me back so I can be successful in every area of my life.

Eyebrow: I know that my results are determined by my subconscious mind

Outside Eye: And I choose to know that I am capable

Under Eye: Of achieving anything I set my mind to

Under Nose: I choose to modify my behavior

Chin: To model successful people

Collar Bone: I resolve to do whatever it takes to be successful

Under Arm: I release myself from all attachment to the results of my past

Top of Head: And know that they don’t define me

Eyebrow: All limitations are just part of my old conditioning

Outside Eye: I choose to know I am limitless and powerful

Again rate the statement “I am never going to be successful because that’s not who I am” and keep tapping until you have brought it down to 0. This is a great tapping session to do each morning before you start your day. Do it for 2 weeks and see what happens.

EFT for Forgiveness

Forgiveness

Energy is precious. It is the essence of everything, including us. And energy directed somewhere is spent and unavailable to be directed somewhere else. If you spend energy in worry, fear, anxiety, guilt or shame, it is not available to help you create a better future for yourself and others.

Many of us spend more energy blaming ourselves or others for our failures and lack of success. No matter how validated we feel in this pursuit, this is time and energy wasted in a pointless activity that will not achieve anything. It won’t make us feel better and it certainly won’t change the situation.

What if we could forgive ourselves and others unreservedly, take responsibility for our results, and redirect that energy to creating a difference in our lives and in the lives of many others?

With EFT, you can release yourself from negative emotions that drain your energy and stop you from realizing your goals and dreams, thereby giving you the freedom to achieve greater and greater things that could not only transform your life, but the lives of many others as well.

The following EFT sequence will help to release you from shame, guilt and blame so you can get on with being successful and wealthy.

First rate the statement “I can’t forgive myself for all the times I haven’t achieved what I set out to achieve” on a scale of 0 to 10. This statement can relate to what your expectations of you, as well as others expectations of you.

Set Up Phrase

Karate Chop Point:
Even though I can’t forgive myself for all the times I have failed and made mistakes, I deeply and completely forgive myself.

Even though I feel ashamed about my failures and all the times in my life I have made bad choices, I profoundly love and accept who I am and how I feel.

Even though I have done some things and made some choices that are unforgiveable, I choose to deeply and completely love and forgive myself anyway.

Eyebrow: I am so ashamed of the number of times I have failed
Outside Eye: Nobody has failed as much as I have
Under Eye: I’m so disappointed with myself
Under Nose: I don’t think I can ever forgive myself for being such a huge failure.
Chin: I’ve really let myself down
Collar Bone: And I’ve let other people down
Under Arm:
Because I haven’t tried hard enough
Top of Head: I don’t deserve forgiveness
Eyebrow: Because sometimes I’ve been lazy
Outside Eye: And I haven’t always given my best

Chin: I haven’t been true to me
Collar Bone: I’ve sabotaged myself so many times
Under Arm: I truly can’t forgive some of the mistakes I’ve made
Top of Head: I haven’t lived up to my expectations
Eyebrow: And I haven’t lived up to the expectations of others
Outside Eye: I’ve made some stupid mistakes
Under Eye: I’ve squandered so much time and energy on meaningless activities
Under Nose: When I should have been focusing on the things I had to do to achieve my goals
Chin: I feel ashamed of some of the poor choices I have made.
Collar Bone: I don’t feel good enough to be wealthy and successful.
Under Arm: I can’t possibly forgive myself when I’ve made so many mistakes.
Top of Head: I don’t deserve to be forgiven because I’ve failed to live up to mine and everybody else’s expectations

Now return and rate the statement: “I can’t forgive myself for all the times I haven’t achieved what I set out to achieve”. If the rating has come down to a 2 or below, then continue on to the positive tapping round. If you haven’t come down that far yet, just keep tapping with the phrases above, or ones that are more appropriate and specific to your situation until you have.

Positive Tapping:

Even though I still have this feeling that I deserve to suffer for being such a failure, I choose to love and forgive myself anyway.

Even though I still feel like my laziness / inefficiency / lack of focus is unforgivable, I deeply and completely love and forgive who I am and how I feel.

Even though I don’t know how I’m ever going to forgive myself for being such an under achiever when I have so much potential, I choose to forgive myself anyway and use that energy to move forward with confidence and enthusiasm.

Collar Bone: It just means I have some subconscious programming that is stopping me
Under Arm: It’s not really all my fault
Top of Head: And now that I recognize it, I choose to forgive myself
Eyebrow: I could have achieved a lot more by now if I’d had the right subconscious programming
Outside Eye: But it’s okay because I can start to turn that around right now
Under Eye: And the first thing I choose to do is forgive myself
Under Nose: I choose to have compassion and understanding for myself
Chin: I choose to be kind to myself
Collar Bone: I am a good person, I just need to adjust a few things
Under Arm: After all, success is a learning process.
Top of Head: And I love to learn new skills and information
Eyebrow: I choose to forgive my lack of results
Outside Eye: And know that I am capable of achieving whatever I put my mind to.
Under Eye: I just need to adopt the right subconscious programming
Under Nose: And I’m starting to do that right now
Chin: I choose to be proud of the fact that I haven’t given up
Collar Bone: I can’t fail until I give up
Under Arm: I choose to have compassion and understanding for me
Top of Head: And I choose to forgive myself for not achieving my goals yet and focus enthusiastically on reprogramming my subconscious to have a successful and wealthy mindset.

Again rate the statement: “I can’t forgive myself for all the times I haven’t achieved what I set out to achieve”. Keep tapping until you bring the rating right down to zero.

There may be other things you need to forgive yourself for that you feel ashamed and guilty about which makes you feel unworthy to be successful and wealthy. Perhaps you did something to someone that was not very nice and hurt someone. Or maybe there’s something you didn’t do, that you feel you should have done. You may need to ask another person for their forgiveness which can be extremely healing and release you from terrible burdens. There are dozens of reasons why we end up on a permanent guilt trip which saps our energy and prevents us from feeling worthy of realizing our dreams.

EFT is capable of eliminating all of those negative feelings that are draining your energy and preventing you from living to your full potential. Adopt EFT as a part of your lifestyle and use it everyday and your life will be transformed in a relatively short amount of time.

Is It Selfish or Greedy to be Wealthy?

Do you have a belief that it’s selfish or greedy to be wealthy? Do you feel that if you have more others will have less?

Let me ask you a couple of other questions. If you are struggling financially, how is that serving yourself and others? If all your needs and wants were met and you had the financial freedom to do whatever you wanted, what could you do to help others?

I’m not going to beat around the bush here. We are at a critical point in our evolution. We have a massive health crisis, a worsening wealth crisis and because of our actions, our planet is also in crisis and needs our assistance.

Do you think the governments of the world are going to solve each and every one of these crises? Do you think the lottery is your best chance of becoming financially free? What if you have a lot more power than you realize  to change your own future and the future of our world as we know it, you just have to release yourself from limiting beliefs that aren’t even yours?

The good news is, you do and you can! And the critical point is, YOU MUST!

Many of us have been programmed to believe that wanting more than we need is greedy and selfish, when the truth is the opposite. Being wealthy, looking after your own needs and desires and redistributing the wealth to places that need it is one of the most selfless things you can possibly do.

Whilst you are fighting just to survive and pay the bills, you do not have the capacity to help anyone, nor should you have to. But by releasing yourself from the programming that has created this vicious cycle of financial imprisonment for you, you are free to help put money and time toward some of the thousands of causes for people, animals and the planet that desperately need our care, attention and money right now.

In other words, the people and animals of the world, and the planet itself, need you to be wealthy. Even by just being able to easily meet your basic needs, your energy will be freed up to think more about how you can help others.

Being wealthy is not a luxury, it is a responsibility to yourself, to the people you love, to the global community and to our planet. It’s time to break free of whatever is holding you back from living a life of passion, purpose and freedom and realize your goals and dreams, and help inspire a global revolution of wealth, health and freedom for everybody who lives on this planet.

Can Money and Spirituality Co-Exist

There is an age old conflict about money and spiritually being mutually exclusive. A belief that if you wish to be a spiritual being that you must renounce all material wealth and possessions because you can’t have both.

This is an unfortunate lie that so many of us have bought into and has created suffering for hundreds of millions of people throughout the ages.

Do you have this conflicting belief system? Would you like to let it go and know that you can HAVE IT ALL?

The truth is, whilst you are struggling for survival, your focus is going to be on physical needs, not personal and spiritual growth, and the more financial freedom you have, the more time and money you will be able to spend on being a spiritual person.

So, far from being mutually exclusive, money and spirituality are mutually beneficial.

So, if you would like to let go of this belief system, I have an EFT Tapping sequence below to help you to break free of this destructive paradigm and live a life of spirituality AND financial freedom.

Firstly rate the statement “I can’t be spiritual and wealthy” on a scale of 0 to 10, 0 being it is not true for you at all and 10 being it is absolutely 100% true for you.

Set Up Phrase – Karate Chop Point:

Even though I don’t believe I can be spiritual and wealthy, because you can’t have both, I deeply and completely love and accept who I am and what I believe.

Even though I don’t believe it’s possible for me to be wealthy and be spiritual at the same time, because they are mutually exclusive, I profoundly love and accept myself anyway.

Even though I’m convinced that it’s not possible to be both spiritual and have lots of money, because they are polar opposites, I deeply and completely love and accept all of me.

Eyebrow Point: If I want to be spiritual I can’t be wealthy

Outside Eye: That’s the way it’s always been

Under Eye: It’s not possible to be both spiritual and wealthy

Under Nose: To be spiritual, I have to let go of all material wants and needs

Chin: Everybody knows that’s just the way it is

Collar Bone: If you are wealthy, you can’t be truly spiritual

Under Arm: Because money blocks spirituality

Top of Head: All spiritual leaders renounce material wealth

Eyebrow Point: It’s not possible to have it all

Outside Eye: And be spiritual and wealthy

Under Eye: Their energies are completely different

Under Nose: They are in direct conflict with each other

Chin: I would rather be spiritual than wealthy

Collar Bone: Because I know I can’t have both

Under Arm: So I refuse to be wealthy

Top of Head: Because being spiritual is the superior choice and I can’t be both spiritual and wealthy.

Take a breath and rate that statement: “I can’t be spiritual and wealthy”.

And start another round of tapping:

Eyebrow Point: Money and spirituality can’t co-exist

Outside Eye: And there is no question that I must choose spirituality over money

Under Eye: Because that’s the obvious choice

Under Nose: I would never choose money over spirituality

Chin: That would be the greedy and selfish choice

Collar Bone: And I would never want to be greedy and selfish

Under Arm: So I choose to be spiritual over wealthy

Top of Head: Because I can’t have both

Eyebrow Point: Money and spirituality are in complete conflict with each other

Outside Eye: So I refuse to be wealthy

Under Eye: Because no sane, kind, compassionate person would ever choose money over spirituality

Under Nose: It’s not possible to have money and be spiritual

Chin: At least that’s what I’ve been led to believe all my life

Collar Bone: And it must be true because there are no spiritual, wealthy people in the world

Under Arm: Truly spiritual people are financially destitute

Top of Head: So I choose to renounce all my financial wants so I can focus on being spiritual

Take a breath and rate that statement: “I can’t be spiritual and wealthy”.

Positive Tapping Round:

Even though I’ve always believed it’s not possible to be spiritual & wealthy, I choose to be open to a new possibility

Even though I’ve always thought money and spirituality are in conflict with each other, I’m ready to let go of that old belief system.

Even though I still have this conflict about money & spirituality, I’m ready to embrace a new paradigm that they can co-exist.

Eyebrow Point: I’ve always believed money & spirituality are a conflict of interest.

Outside Eye: But what if I’ve been wrong all along?

Under Eye: What if they can actually compliment each other?

Under Nose: It makes sense that when I have more money I’ll have more freedom to be more spiritual

Chin: I’ve believed this lie for way too long

Collar Bone: And I’m ready to release myself from it now

Under Arm: And embrace a new paradigm that I can be spiritual and wealthy

Top of Head: It’s very liberating knowing I can be spiritual and wealthy

Eyebrow Point: In fact when I’m wealthy, I’ll have more time and money to be more spiritual

Outside Eye: It really makes sense that it is possible to be both spiritual and wealthy

Under Eye: I love knowing I really can have it all

Under Nose: I don’t know who taught me that you can’t

Chin: But I love letting go of that lie

Collar Bone: And knowing that I can be spiritual and wealthy

Under Arm: I love knowing they can co-exist and even compliment each other

Top of Head: I am excited about being wealthy and spiritual at the same time.

Eyebrow Point: I feel so free and liberated

Outside Eye: I love letting go of the old lie

Under Eye: And embracing the new belief that works for me

Under Nose: That I can be spiritual and wealthy

Chin: I love knowing I can have it all

Collar Bone: This opens up all sorts of possibilities

Under Arm: And means I am free to be massively wealthy

Top of Head: I feel so liberated knowing I can be spiritual and wealthy at the same time

And take a breath and rate that statement “I can’t be spiritual and wealthy”

Get Out Of Your Own Way

I spend a lot of time writing and talking about the subconscious and how it controls 96 to 98 percent of our results. This is because once you learn how to change this programming, and are committed to working at it consistently, your results will change so dramatically, it is like night and day. First you will find your behaviour changing and you will be aware of more opportunities coming into your life. You will take action that is congruent with achieving your goal and people and resources will turn up in your life like magic.

Hence the saying, ‘Get out of your own way’. You are the only person who is in charge of your results. Once you realise this and become aware of the behaviour and habits that aren’t serving you and are keeping you stuck, then you will really begin to move ahead in leaps and bounds.

This takes discipline and a willingness to do the things ninety-five percent of people won’t do so you can have what ninety-five percent of people will never have. And, unless you have an instant enlightenment experience like Byron Katy or Eckhart Tolle, this is a journey that takes time and dedication, it will not happen overnight. I’m not saying you have to meditate for 10 hours every day for the next 50 years to finally get it. We live in extraordinary times and we have the opportunity to shift our awareness incredibly quickly if we choose. However, it will take some effort on your part.

Why are willing to spend time, money and effort to avoid our feelings and ultimately perpetuate our pain, such as unhealthy levels of addictions to things like television, the latest technological toys and games, alcohol, sport, work, legal and illicit drugs, but the opportunity to spend 30 minutes a day healing and discovering our potential comes last, if at all?

Why haven’t we been taught to embrace all of our feelings, especially the uncomfortable ones, so we can discover the truth behind them so they lose their power over us? We give our power away to our fear, anger, grief, sadness, frustration, etc when we refuse to feel them fully and discover the truth within these feelings.  We take our power back when we choose to experience every aspect our beautiful existence and feel everything fully. We become awakened in that moment and all of a sudden those uncomfortable feelings are seen for what they are: merely responses to a belief system or perception about our world or ourselves.

Feelings have no life of their own, they only exist because of your response to a particular situation. And where one person might thrive on the adrenalin and excitement of performing in front of a crowd of 10,000 people, somebody else might prefer to die than take the risk of humiliation and rejection. Of course, if that latter is you, then public speaking might not be your chosen vehicle for making your dreams come true, at least not this right this minute.

Once you become a master of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, you become a conscious creator. Suddenly you have the ability to choose appropriate responses in every situation of your life instead of being at the mercy of your emotions.

Have you ever been in the middle of an argument and suddenly you have the thought ‘Why am I so angry and why am I taking it out on this person’? I certainly have, and the more aware you become, the more this occurs, until you are able to actually stop the unconscious response before it occurs. It is not the event itself that defines it’s meaning in our lives, but our response to it. And rarely, if ever, is it the particular circumstance that is the cause of our response. The event is merely a trigger which activates an automatic response within us, depending on previous experience and belief systems, formed usually in the first 6 years of our lives.

For example, a person who has had a history of betrayal or abandonment in their life, may feel particularly jealous if their partner is looking at someone of the opposite sex in, what they determine, is an inappropriate manner. Even if the other person is the most loyal and devoted person on the planet and has never shown any signs of betrayal, they respond from what they expect to occur. Because they have been betrayed or abandoned previously, they are expecting their partner to do the same and they perceive their over eager appreciation of another person as a betrayal, even though they have done nothing wrong.

We are all human, and just because we devote our lives to one person does not mean we automatically become robots incapable of appreciating the beautiful form of another human being. In fact this is perfectly healthy behaviour. What is not healthy is the over reaction of the person who immediately goes into fear of being betrayed, and angrily accuses the admirer of being unfaithful.

This is how our subconscious works. It looks for situations to prove our programming right. So we look for situations and events that will substantiate our model of the world. If we believe we don’t deserve to succeed, or it’s not safe to be successful, we will draw to us events and circumstances, and behave in ways that substantiate those beliefs and sabotage our success. And there may be hundreds or even thousands of those negative beliefs lurking in your subconscious, quietly working away and keeping you bound within your self imposed limitations.

It is your job to disentangle yourself from these belief systems and disable them so they don’t sabotage your success. This is why energy psychology and vibrational healing techniques are now becoming so popular, because they have the ability to quickly eliminate these beliefs so we can form new ones.

You need to be dedicated though, because your subconscious has formed these belief systems in an attempt to protect you and keep you safe. It is not likely to just show you what they are so you can get rid of them. You need to outsmart your subconscious and engage it to be your assistant in this process rather than your enemy.

And your emotions are your greatest ally in this quest. Become aware of your feelings in every moment and you will quickly discover what fears and beliefs you are holding onto that are stopping you from being the best you can be and living the life of your dreams.

I have found this is a fascination journey of discovery and, though difficult at times, highly rewarding. And the greatest reward is success. Following is an EFT Sequence to help you to get out of your own way.

Even though I am my own worst enemy, I deeply and completely accept all of me

Even though I am responsible for all of my results in life, I choose to love and accept myself anyway.

Even though I have been the one holding myself back and stopping myself from succeeding, I deeply and profoundly love and accept all of me.

Inside Eye: I’ve been sabotaging myself all this time

Outside Eye: I should have known

Under Eye: I’ve allowed my emotions and belief systems to control my life

Under Nose: I feel powerless to take control of my life and realize my dreams

Chin: I should have known better

Collar Bone: I’m afraid to realize my true potential

Under Arm: I have all this conflict about success

Top of Head: I’m afraid to step out of my comfort zone

Inside Eye: It doesn’t feel safe

Outside Eye: What if it doesn’t work out?

Chin: I have all these negative beliefs about becoming successful

Collar Bone: It doesn’t feel safe to succeed

Under Arm: I don’t believe I deserve to succeed

Top of Head: I have all this conflict about success, no wonder I can’t realize my goals and dreams

Karate Chop:

Even though I still have this conflict about success, I’m ready to transform and transcend all negative belief systems that are preventing me from realizing my goals and dreams.

Even though I’ve been sabotaging myself all along, I’m ready to get out of my own way and do whatever it takes.

Even though I’m responsible for where I am right now, I choose to forgive myself and get on the fast track to success and wealth.

Inside Eye: I’ve been sabotaging myself all along

Outside Eye: And now I’m willing to do whatever it takes to succeed

Under Eye: Even if I have to get out of my own road, it will be worth it
