Want Better Answers? Ask Better Questions!

Success, happiness, abundance, freedom. None of these conditions will turn up in your life by accident. Either consciously or subconsciously, you must create them in your life, and to do that, you need to ask yourself the right questions.

Do you keep asking yourself questions like:

“Why can’t I get a break?”
“Why can’t I get ahead?”
“Why am I so unlucky?”
“How come bad stuff happens to me all the time?”
“Why do I keep getting ripped off?”
“What am I doing wrong?”
……………. etc, etc, etc.

Do you notice any relationship between these questions?

I’m going to let you in on a little secret. As soon as you put any question out into the atmosphere through thought, word or deed, your subconscious immediately looks for an answer to affirm that question.

For example, if you ask the question in your mind, “Why can’t I get a break?”, the subconscious will immediately get to work looking for reasons why you can’t get a break and deliver those answers to you in your every day reality. You will experience sabotage all over the place through people and circumstances in your life.

This is because the subconscious mind has 3 jobs. The first one is to keep the status quo. The subconscious mind does not like change, and as long as it perceives that you are not in any immediate danger, it will work to keep things the same.

It’s second job is to keep you in whatever it perceives to be safe circumstances. Even if you don’t feel safe, your subconscious finds your situation safer than the alternative for whatever reason.

And third, it looks for ways to prove you right. So if you ask the question, “Why can’t I get a break?” your subconscious will bring people, events and circumstances into your awareness that will show you why and you will continue to experience problem after problem to stop you from achieving your goals and dreams.

The good news is that you can use this quirk of the subconscious mind to your advantage. Imagine what happens if you turn those questions around. If you ask the question “Why am I so successful?” instead of “Why am I such a failure?”, your subconscious will look for answers to that question and your entire world will change. People, situations and opportunities will present themselves to show you why you’re so successful. And even if you have felt like a failure up until now, suddenly your will start to see areas in your life where you have succeeded that you had completely overlooked before. Your self-esteem and belief in your ability with improve and different results will follow.

You can continue to be thwarted by your subconscious, or you can become a conscious player in the game of life and stack the odds in your favour by putting your subconscious to work for you and not against you.

Become aware of the questions you are automatically asking about yourself and your life, turn them around to a positive focus, and then watch in amazement as miracles and magic conspire to help you succeed, rather than fail.
